The Call
We’re currently accepting submissions from photographers whose work fits the aesthetic and energy of La Mar. We're especially drawn to ocean, surf, and coastal photography that captures authentic emotion, striking composition, and timeless atmosphere.
This open call is our way of discovering new talent for potential inclusion in the gallery.
We’re highly selective and accept only a small number of new photographers each season, ensuring every artist gets the spotlight they deserve.
Submission Requirements
- 5–10 images (web friendly JPEG/PNG)
- Brief artist statement or bio
- Website and Instagram handle
- $50 non-refundable entry fee

Our Gallery Model
Photographers retain full rights to their work. We license imagery for sale through our online store, where all prints are framed, fulfilled, and shipped directly to customers in the U.S., Europe, and Australia.
We’re proud to offer one of the most artist-friendly royalty structures in the industry. We offer a flat 15% royalty on retail price (this stays consistent even during promotions). Artists make generous passive income from each sale with no ongoing obligations or exclusivity. All marketing, production, and fulfillment is handled by us—our roster can focus on what they do best: making great art.

La Mar Collective is a global online gallery showcasing powerful, ready-to-hang photography that captures the spirit of the ocean and coastal living.
Our artists have been featured in Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic, Surfer Magazine, Vice, Surfline, The Inertia, and more. But we don’t chase press—we chase great photography. Some of our best-selling prints come from emerging artists with no formal accolades, just undeniable talent. This open call is our way of discovering new voices: an opportunity for passionate photographers—regardless of background—to join a gallery built around curation, care, and connection.
Photographer Open Call Entry
This fee helps offset the administrative costs of reviewing and onboarding new artists into our gallery as it also weeds out all those who shouldn't be applying.
