Ana Catarina was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After graduating with a degree in Journalism in 2013, she discovered her true passion: photography. She left behind a stable and peaceful life to explore new possibilities, cultures, landscapes, and stories that would take her breath away. Water photography became her passport to freedom, allowing her to create images that blend emotions and thoughts. When she's out in the ocean, she doesn't just feel a connection—she feels like a part of it. She adapts to the waves, experiences each wipeout, and revels in the sensation of water running across her body, a perfect reminder that she's truly alive.

Ana views photography as a catalyst for personal growth and self-awareness, as well as a unique way to tell the stories she encounters on her journey. She hopes to inspire and motivate other girls to dive into water photography and capture their own stories.
